Dates for the camps are as follows:
Broadway and Beyond I and II will run the
week of June 21-25 from 9am-4pm
TeenScenes will be a TWO WEEK camp - June
14-18 and 21-25 from 9am-4pm
This year, all camps will be
held at Mary Potter Middle School
The Camp formats have
changed dramatically - no longer will our elementary age campers be
working with other campers who are getting ready to enter High
School…,
NOR will our campers spend their time being forced to
learn lines, and songs, and choreography of one play stressing about
memorization. They will learn the fun side of theatre and hopefully
be building their confidence for being on a stage in the future.

TeenScenes will be directed by Christopher
Bagley. The camp has been extended a week and will explore various
disciplines of theater including acting, character development,
auditioning, mime, movement, musical theater, improvisation and
ensemble work.
We are pleased to announce that this year’s camp
will also include a master class for our teens taught by Michael
Wiley, who lives in Durham and is best known for starring in the
one-man show "Blood Done Sign My Name", which was performed in
Oxford in February of 2009.
Registration is limited to 16 young people
and applicants will be accepted on a first-come basis.
Cost for two weeks of camp is $375
Special provision MAY be made for campers
who can only attend one week.

Broadway and Beyond I will be directed by
Brandon Roeder and will introduce children to the ideas of theater
through the use of fairy tales. We will be doing role-playing
exercises, singing, dancing and set-designing throughout the course
of the week, with emphasis on learning the fun of theater. (2nd-5th
Grades)
Broadway and Beyond II will be directed by Nikki
Peters and will dive deeper into all aspects of theater. We will
focus on learning about and performing all types of theater, from
musicals to vaudeville to kabuki. (6th - 8th
Grades)
Registration is limited to 20 young people
per camp and applicants will be accepted on a first-come basis. Cost
for the week of Broadway and Beyond camp is $200
